Game Designer

  • As a game designer at Supersolid you’ll be at the core of new game development, working in collaboration with key stakeholders to develop and prototype new game concepts ahead of full production
  • You will be responsible for concepting and prototyping new games, as well as working with product owners to assist on titles in development


  • Work with key stakeholders to identify potential market opportunities, and establish and agree the vision of the game
  • Develop high-level game concept proposals based on high-level direction from key stakeholders
  • Communicate your design clearly, and respond quickly and constructively to feedback
  • Create and iterate design documentation (including UI and screen mockups) to define game direction, and establish approximate scope
  • Collaborate with a small team of artists and developers to prototype key game elements to prove out the design’s USPs
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers on new features to support existing live and in-development titles
  • Keep up to date with trends in mobile game design across a variety of genres and markets


  • Experience in prototyping, implementation, balancing, and review and feedback
  • Previously shipped at least one F2P mobile title in a design capacity
  • Open and responsive to feedback, and eager to learn and apply new skills and ideas
  • Genuine passion for F2P and mobile games, as well as the wider world of gaming
  • An understanding of and interest in mobile F2P market trends, games and mechanics
  • Confidence in prototyping and balancing using industry standard tools
  • A focus on quality and design excellence; polish is a must for Supersolid games
  • Strong interest and belief in data-informed design to support and validate intuition

Superpowers (not essential, but nice to have)

  • Previous experience leading small teams in an agile environment
  • Experience using Unity
  • Experience in concept and pitch development
