2D Artist

As a 2D Artist at Supersolid, you’ll play a significant role in crafting and shaping our games and marketing material.

You’ll design and make beautiful and unique assets to a high standard for an international audience. You will be a strong team player, who is looking for an opportunity to be part of a creative and friendly team, working across a variety products and platforms

Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality 2D art elements (concepts, icons, backgrounds, characters, GUI elements and assets) for games with different art styles: fantasy, realistic or cartoon
  • Create promotional 2D graphics for use in current and new titles
  • Provide game-ready art and marketing assets with attention to detail while meeting deadlines
  • Collaborate with the art team, development team, Art Director and Lead artist
  • Follow the art guidelines, technical limitation and prepare art elements on the required format
  • Create graphic assets for our official websites and social channels
  • Work closely and communicate effectively with our in-house game development, marketing, user-acquisition, and community management teams to fulfil marketing graphic requests to a high standard
  • Consider “who” the assets are for as you shape and design new messaging
  • Edit 2D and 3D images and manipulate image composition
  • Produce visual communication complementary to the established art direction, maintaining a consistent visual style and using strong commercial acumen
  • Prioritise workflow and complete assigned tasks utilizing tracking tools used by the projects

Requirements

  • A strong portfolio containing examples of both personal and professional work
  • Solid art foundation in drawing, painting, and perspective
  • Prior professional experience in game development or other relative creative industry
  • Proficient with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience in producing graphic assets for games
  • Good artistic sensibilities and attention to details
  • Able to work respecting strict technical and artistic limitations and instructions
  • Independent, versatile and willing to switch tasks based on the project’s need
  • Flexible and prepared to engage in problem-solving during game development
